The Stinky Sock Sistas

I know I should wear my eye glasses all the time but I'm a rebellious sort. The perpetual tweeting and texting via the microscopic view of an iPhone reminds me and proves my point: I scan and "think" I read your tweet, text or update correctly. For a good laugh, you really have to check out the website for iPhone auto-correct bloopers. Just Google that and you'll see what I mean!

Yesterday, one of my on-line buddies posted a fun tweet that said, "love my sticky sock sisters"... Sticky. The operative word here. It's the buzz! It's the word that is frequently used in marketing - the staying power of a brand; the clinging and adhering of a product or service that says, "I can't live without this!!" (Which is why @stickyJesus, the trendsetting Biblical truth-filled book by my friends, Tami Heim and Toni Birdsong, is a must read!)

Knowing all that, I still thought I read "stinky" sock sisters. LOL! Need my glasses. But then I thought, "Hmm....Sticky? OR Stinky. Now there's an oxymoron! Definitely two words that don't go together! If you're not "sticky" with your faith or living each day with the message branded to your forehead- "I can't do it without Christ", then maybe we are "stinky".

"For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?" 2 Corinthians 2: 15, 16.

There are days when I'm much more stinky than sticky with my faith. I don't want to smell like a rotting corpse to my world anymore...

The socks and the attitude are in the washer now....

Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean,

scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life.

Tune me in to foot-tapping songs,
set these once-broken bones to dancing.

Don't look too close for blemishes,
give me a clean bill of health.

God, make a fresh start in me,
shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. ~Psalm 51:7-10

I'm going to take a bubble bath in Tide tonight and wrap myself in Downey.

Love how you roll!

I'll soak myself in Oxyclean.

Don't want to be an oxymoron for obvious reasons!

I love my "sticky" sisters...even when I'm stinky.
